I would expect that the mark for drag and drag before commands should work
for this, if not, then we should hammer accessibility support with requests
to get it to work.

Hi all,
So this is what I am doing.
1. Going to the song I want to drag.
2. Pressing VO Comma. VO says that the song is marked for drag and Drop.
3. Press VO Period. The whirring sound starts, and VO says it is dragging the
song.
That's where I get stuck. I thought that VO Comma was supposed
Hi all,
Just in case anyone else wonders about this. I had no luck editing the
playlist on my Mac, so have sent an inquiry to Accessibility. However, I was
able to make the desired edits on my phone, which then synced the playlist with
iTunes on my Mac. From what I can tell, that is the only
Hello All:
I am sure this has been covered before but does anyone have advice about using
google drive? I downloaded the app which didn’t solve anything. How to open a
document would be a good beginning. Off list responses are fine and much
appreciated.

Hi Donna.
I could never get this to work. Like you, I got stuck where you say once
you've done VO Comma. Isn't it VO shift V to put the file to where you want
it? That was the bit I could not make work.

Drag and drop only works when both locations are visible on the screen at the
same time. VO comma marks the item for drag. VO period starts the drag
function. The item literally drags across the screen to the drop location. It
is necessary to wait until the drag sound completes. at that point, t
Hi David,
Thanks for pointing this out. But in the case of a playlist, wouldn't both
locations be visible on the screen?
Cheers,

That specific drag and drop command may only be for installing apps. Just
guessing.
Take care

Yes, both locations should be visible on the screen. Note: I have not created
playlists. My partner does that because she loves music. I merely enjoy her
efforts.

I have used it for moving files. I have never used it, or any other command,
for creating playlists.

Hi,
What's likely happening here is related to sorting. If your playlist is set to
be sorted by some other parameter, such as Artist or Song Title, then dragging
and dropping will not be permitted. Therefore, you must first sort things in
the playlist by the Status column by pressing VO-shift
Hi,
I've sent instructions in a different thread for accomplishing this task.
Doing it on your iDevice was a good idea, but only works for those with Apple
Music or iTunes Match where the iCloud Music Library is active.

Hi Tim,
Thanks. I do have my playlist set to be sorted manually. I was using the
other drag and drop method, I will give this one a try. Apple Accessibility
says it is supposed to work.

Hi,
Not sure what view Apple Accessibility is using, but, the VO-comma/VO-period
doesn't work for me when my playlist is in List View.
