Hi Simon,
No, I mean the plus/equals key on the number row. If you go to that key, then
move your finger up to the touch bar, you should be on the volume control.
Cheers,

They were testing out COWs all the time in the Bay Area. During anything like
the World Series or out side lands festival they would drive one or more of
these in the area and set up mobile coverage augmentation. It’s very cool how
that works and they can augment areas when they need it.

Hi,
If you don’t want to use the Touch Bar to adjust the system volume you can use
the vo keys and the dash key to lower the volume and the vo and the equals key
to raise the volume. The dash and equals are on the standard numbers row.

The one limitation is that this does not work to enable voiceover in recovery,

Hello all,
I know this discussion came up a while back but I wasn't running Sierra then. I
have recently updated my Mac to Sierra and the menu extras option is not
showing the battery level. What is the trick or where can it now be found?
Thanks,
Gabe

Hi,
If your Mac is charging, then the battery status is announced by VO, if not,
then you have a few options. You can ask Siri, works but problematic in a
meeting or other public venue. You can go to System Prefs in the Energy Saver
pane and it is available there. Also, in the Activity Monit

I purchased an Acer ChromeBook last year. ChromeVox, the ChromeBook's screen
reader is basic. I played with it about four weeks ago, and it is still to
basic for anything but the simplest of web work. I cannot recommend the
ChromeBook for any blind person. It is still too limited.

Thanks everybody for your comments. Yes I started with Google searches, and
have found a number. But I've not read any comments by blind users. It looks
like there's one in development now that's very promising and one that I found
that looked really great but it only works with older iPhones. I
Braille support on Chrome OS/Vox Next is based on brltty.

Hi Tim. I actually didn't make the Battery Status script. I downloaded it a few
years ago, coincidentally, from this list when someone else shared it.

Say Power Status: If your Mac is running on battery power, this script
announces the percent of the battery remaining, and the estimated run-time.
If your Mac is running on mains/wall power, the battery percentage is
reported, along with the estimated recharge time.

Shawn,
Cool how things come and go on this list. I'll still say "Good job" to you
anyway as you were good enough to share it with folks for this need.
Thanks.

Hi I have a 2012 mbp with an ssd. I also have a very large audio book
library. When adding to iTunes iTunes goes into a caniption fit and

faster cpu's and ssd's does this still happen when importing a big
