having trouble getting into edit mode on my phone

Hi all, I know I've brought this up before, but it's happening again. I can't get my screen into the edit mode so I can delete apps. I've tried adjusting how hard I press on the screen, but nothing seems to work, I always end up opening the app. Does anyone have a trick to consistently make

First, yes, you really need one. Second, I'm using ClamXAV and have had no issues at all. It costs nowadays, but, it's quite nice in the accessibility department and I'd recommend it. Without knowing which one caused you the trouble, however, it's a little hard to make recommendations
