Hi all,
I'm considering purchasing a used 6th-gen iPod that was advertised on Craig's
list. I'll be going to see it this morning. I assume that when I turn it on,
the configuration screen will come up. Does anyone know if there is any way I
can confirm that the iPod actually has the amount o
You can triple press the home key if the iPod is booting for the first time and
activate voiceover. A sited person could verify what’s written on the hardware
or if you boot fully could could go to settings, general and about and it lists
the capacity as one of the first items.

John, I wouldn’t really go Mini unless you have a specific reason. By the time
you add the monitor and keyboard and other items you don’t save much and I’m
not sure what you gain but maybe you have a specialized application that
requires this so I’m happy to be corrected.

So you installed it through the printers applet in System Settings? I know
there is one manufacturer who does make Mac drivers but the name escapes me at

I have one too, it’s great because it’s so portable and light.
Depends on what the original poster wants to o with it. I can run a single VM

Hey Scot,
Sorry, I guess I should have been clearer. I know you can find out the amount
of storage in settings, but am unsure about whether you can bypass the
configuration and setup and go directly to a home screen. Is it possible to
exit the configuration screen so that I can go to a home s
Enabling Technologies is the brand. I have not yet found an OS X

I don’t suppose you’ll get much use out of OS X’s printer subsystem for
handling the braille embosser.
On the other hand, surely it is only a matter of identifying the parallel or

by a USB driver. In which case, I i

If you do in Terminal:
ls /dev/cu*
What is returned, apart from your Bluetooth ports?
Hopefully the port is just serial-USB so you can simply send embossable text to
it in standard ASCII form. Test it out with a braille file, as short as you
can of course so as not to waste the paper.

Scott,
I got curious so opened the Louis braille app. It looks like one can
send output to /dev/null. Since documents can be set up on a per basis,
the question I have is, how do I know if /dev/null is the embosser? And
there is another option in that Send to list which is /test.output.
Firstly, you need to know what port your embosser is on. /dev/null I am
thinking just does a .brf file port.. So basically it loops back to itself and
creates the .brf file. Now it should tell you how to install the embosser
itself. I think I have a copy of Louis Braille here and I’ll take a
Problem of acceptance, basically. Technology is only technology until it’s
widespread and taken for granted; then it’s whatever, and everybody is in love
with it and can’t imagine life without it, even when the replacement is clearly
and self-evidently superior.
Except DAB radio, of course. T
FYI, /dev/null is bit heaven. Sending data there simply results in its
immediate destruction. :)

I assume you mean the Mac. There’s a menu command, Edit then Speech then Start

Hi John,
I’ll answer a few of your questions I have experience with, and leave the rest

at others it has been worse, but it always seems to be perpetually broken.

Well, I obviously didn't mean a quadruple double tap but simply four quick taps

Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing some odd behavior with my watch when I connect it to a
