How does the download notifier script work? Do I have to attach it to a
commander? Basically, I want it to tell me automatically when a download is
finnished in Safari, or is that not actually what this script is for.

This won't help at all with your problem, but you do have me curious. Will
Mac DVD Ripper Pro only rip the audio, or does it also rip the video portion
of the DVD as well. Second off, if it'll rip the video as well, then how
much is this app?

I did get this resolved, I used a terminal command which allowed me to get
underneath the admin account. Was able to recover approximately 30gb. Thanks
