Hello,
I am not sure if this is just me, or just on my Mac here, but when I go to
“Menu Extras” and to the “Dropbox 2.10.41” icon, (Think I got the version
number right, anyways, it’s the latest one,) that I do not have to use the
mouse to activate it to get the window that comes up with titles
Hello,
I’m trying to record a conversation in FaceTime. I know it is possible, as
Rogue Amiba said they added the feature.
However for some reason when I do this, it also captures the system sound
output. So, you can hear Voiceover in the recording. Obviously this is quite
undesirable. I just
Same thing happens to me. When you record Facetime, does the actual person's
voice kind of sound like it's recording double? That's what it does for me.
I'm blasted if I can figure it out either.

Not all apps are in the iTunes store. Some don't want to bother with the
whole submission/review process for various reasons, especially the free
open-source apps.

Hi all,
If you are using 10.9, and you wait til 10.10.1 is relased then when you

So, I downloaded the .zip file from colloquy.info, but there's no

finding any installation instruction on their page.
Looking at the file structure of the exploded .zip, I see the top level

The app doesn't need to be installed, in the usual sense. Copy it to your
Applications folder (cmd-shift-a), but that's more of a housekeeping thing than
a requirement. Just launch the app to use it, like any other app on the Mac.

Hi Folks,
I wonder wether it was very complicated to create 2 scripts for the following
tasks:
1. Route the mouse cursor to VO and perform a click.
2. Play a determined sound and restart or shut down the Mac. This might be for
2 scripts.
If it was not very complicated would there possibly som

Do any of you have a home security system that uses an iOS app to arm and

I don't know about the second one, but I recently made a script similar to the
first one. I use key commands, since the scripting dictionary for VoiceOver
doesn't allow the mouse cursor to be moved. Since you can't change VO's default
commands, though, this should still work.

Hi Sarah,
Yes I do, it's calledIpfob. And it is reasonably accessible, there are a few
unlabeled buttons, but you can figure that out pretty well. I hope this helps,

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your excellent description. There is no drop box icon in my menu

top but it's just not syncing.
I'll have another go at opening the app or try to update it somehow, though I

Dear Lisette,
If you can locate dropbox folder in your home folder, call up its contextual
menu with vo+shift+m. One of the options in the menu is to “view in

the dropbox page. I’ve tested it and it took me into m
Hi Andrew,
Well it just shows you should always go for the tried and true fixes first. I
just did a restart and now everything is syncing again. Thanks for the tip
though about going into the dropbox account via the contextual menu. I'll
remember that for next time.
When in doubt, do a re-start.
I’m not sure, but I think that alarm.com app works with other alarm companies
as well, but I don’t have a list of the companies.

Hi all,
I just recorded a FaceTime call, and haven't experienced this issue that you
are having. The person on the other end says normal, and VO doesn't bleed in,
unless you're using speakers.

Sounds like Janina is poking at things through the terminal. Not that
there is anything wrong with that but from the GUI the .app directory

I am not sure it is a good idea to use the Desktop, especially as these apps
are already on your dock for easy launching. Just press VO D to bring up the

I wouldn't bother I would just use the Dock with VO-d or Launchpad with
