Hi
iOS 6 does not work with the Braille Edge 40.
At least, I had a customer who couldn't get it to work.
If they ran iOS7 the edge paired with no problem.
I have an edge here and it's working fine with both Mavericks and iOS7.
Make sure you are running firmware 1.1 build 20130809

Hi,
Have you looked at the advanced verbosity settings within the VO Utility? When
in the Verbosity pane of VO Utility, check the box for Advanced Speech
Verbosity options, then Interact with the Table and go down the list. You
could change the verbosity level for specific elements to a lower

Hey Scott
I am running iOS 7 .4 whenever the latest thing is. I have Mavericks as well. I
finally got Mavericks to work with my braille Edge 40 but not my iPhone. I
have a 5s. I have decided that I am going to eliminate mechanical difficulties
from this equation by getting everything checked o
Hi all,
I saw on the audible website, you don’t need any extra download software, the
books will download to itunes. I haven’t tried downloading from audible on my

section of itunes. Would they be in the downloads section
I have an iphone so am used to getting apps from the app store, and I assume I
can install in the same way on the mac.
However I’d like to know how you uninstall a program on the mac if you decide
you don’t want it.
Thanks,
Don

Hi Don,
You can uninstall apps just by moving them to the trash. I, however, recommend
that people purchase an app called “app delete.”
http://www.reggieashworth.com
It will uninstall the app and cleanup any unnecessary files that the app may
have left behind.

Audible books will download into whatever folder you always use for
downloads, but iTunes will find them and read them, wherever they are. Once
the download is complete, iTunes will launch the book and you will find it
under your Books section in iTunes.

Hello Andrew,
If, like me, you have the option to open downloaded files automatically turned
off, your Audible books will be in your Downloads folder. You can open this by
pressing Cmd-Option-l.

Hi Lisette,
That's interesting. The customer was using Braille Edge Firmware 1.1 and
iOS6 on an iPhone 4S or 5 I think and it would fail every time.
Once he upgraded to iOS7, all was well.
I've had no problems here so I guess some of us are lucky.
Good to know that it all worked for you.
Cheers.
Hi,
I sometimes get this. Restarting mail always fixes these focus issues for me.
