Is there an easy way to get to an open system dialog? Sometimes Voiceover
reports them as being open, but if I’ve missed them pop up, they don’t appear
to be in the command tab cycle.

Under the on/off button is another button. Hold that button in for a few
seconds until you hear "Jambox is in pairing mode, waiting for device to

The braille display is a little over a year old. It really makes it complicated
when the hardware is having trouble at the same time updates are happening.

Believe it or not, the last time I did it, notes doesn't show the end of line
carriage returns and linefeeds. I even did it with a webr Braille file in notes
once.

now I can’t see the all mail folder from apple mail, either.

IMO the best way is just to open the files you want to play. command O is good
for your first run on tons of music, but for new stuff that’s how I’ve begun

format ITunes happens not to support) no problem. I just use amadeus pro to
change it to a .wav file then cause it to be added to ITunes library and have
ITunes make a .4ma file out of it.

several items. Whenever VoiceOver encounters a list or sub-list, it announces
how many items are in the list. I agree it's overly verbose and not really
necessary. It's VoiceOver treating the HTML and tags as a separate

Have you disabled the preview pane in mail? It is a bit tricky to do it first,
but it should solve your problem.

or other info. But the recovery key I couldn’t write down as there is no way of
interacting with VO to copy the text of the key. So now, I no longer have the

Did you lose your password? You only need the key if you've lost your password
which you would have made up. And actually I did find some way to copy the
recovery key but maybe that was an older version of filevault and things have
changed.

In Mountain Lion I was able to copy the key using VO-Shift-C, to copy the last
spoken phrase. You should be able to use this—it's a great one to remember when
VO can't interact and select text to be copied.
Apple will not be able to email you the key as Apple does not keep any copy for
security
Strange. It has an option to store the key with apple so why wouldn’t they keep
it.
As far as the login, it only does it at first boot, if it awakes from sleep, it
uses regular voice over. Otherwise the beep method. It scared me at first, but
i got it right the first time.

most hope they fix is in Safari. Command left bracket and command left arrow

• Make VoiceOver announce a messages read/unread status, and the number of
messages in thread, before the message preview in Mail.
• Stop VoiceOver repeating text in nearby elements in Safari.
• Fix problems with column view in Finder.
• Label unlabelled buttons and images in iBooks.
Oh right, well if you chose that option then I guess you're fine. No need to
worry so long as you can remember the answers to your three questions. I doubt
you'll forget the password though as you have to enter it every time you turn
on your Mac.
