thanks Ricardo.
Mail has been driving me nutty, so was considering switching to some other imap
provider until there’s a patch or something changes.
I suppose I could also just try the pop 3 version of gmail and just see which
one works best for me here.

Hi Teresa,
With five lines in preview and the preview pane disabled, is that in classic
view or standard view? I just upgraded to Mountain lion, and stuck with classic
view, but I also have conversations enabled. I never hear it say how many
messages are in a thread or even that there is a threa
Hi list:
I’ve been experimenting with Mavericks and have a couple minor observations
regarding the installer.
First, upgrading went smoothly.
However, I enjoy tinkering, so, I also did an install using USB media, and,
finally, with the recovery partition.
With the USB installer, the install w
Hi, Mary,
This is in modern view. Classic view doesn’t have the preview text for messages.
When I was playing with classic view, VO would say “conversation collapsed” or
“expanded” but not the number of messages in the conversation. While this was
helpful, I found that I missed the text preview
Hi, guys,

Hi,
I think you bring up an excellent point. In my opinion, There is no really one
super addition to Mavericks. ibooks is cool, I’ve read 3 books with it
already, but accessibility wise, it feels like its still in beta. That being
said, it really doesn’t need much to become awesome. Label t
Hi Ricardo,
Regarding iBooks, have you figured out a way to access collections? I have an
embarrassingly large iBooks library, and it is divided into collections.
Collections are one of the things that makes iBooks outstanding in my opinion.
So can I have my collections accessible on Mavericks?
Hello again All,
I just wanted to give you an update on Mark and Amy's story.
Firstly though, please let me offer my sincere and deepest thanks to you all
who have shown your support and well-wishes. This not only means a tremendous

Hi all,
Can someone explain how Time Machine works? I have it set up, I have my files
backed up, but how can I browse to a file to restore it? How can I browse
previous versions of a given file? All the resources I looked up describe
interface elements, such as navigational arrows or restore but
Just a minor correction. My Finder menu reports that the “add to sidebar”
command is ctrl-cmd-t, not cmd-shift-t.

Hi all,
I made a Time Machine backup just before I installed maverix, my first-ever use
of Time Machine. I kept the drive plugged in after I upgraded, and it just
struck me: what happened to it? My personal files are, of course, intact, but
is that backup now “running” Mountain Lion or would the

The good news, however small, is that Amy did move a very little of both her
