Hi Courtney. That’s a personal preference to update or not so you’d have to
decide that for yourself. Personally, there are some bugs in Mavericks but
they’re only tiny ones so it’s not a show stopper for me. But like I said, it’s
a matter of personal preference and if you find any bugs, don’t h
Hello all,
I'm planning to update on Maverics.
at the moment I have vmware fusion 5 that I bought some months ago.
I'd like to ask you first if it is compatible with Maverics.
and then I'd like to know if version 6 of vmware fusion is still included with
the license of 6.
It is not very clear, b
It would be nice if someone could do an (applevis) overview podcast about how
to best use ibooks with vo on the mac.

Hi all,
I have fixed my aggregate device problem. Actually, it was not a problem; it
was something I was doing wrong. In the program I use to edit sound, Audacity,
there is a selection box for how many channels your input source has. I did not
realize that, for an aggregate device, I had to sele
Hi guys. I kinda figured out why Mavericks was free and that I can’t
re-download it to make a bootable version. I just got off the phone with a
gentleman of Apple and he stated to me that Mavericks isn’t an OS, but an
update. He’s gonna send an article about it to me through email and when he

Hi All,
I normally would never ever allow any messages here about donations. IN this
case though, this situation very much warrants this.
One of our listers and a dear friend of mine, has had an extreme tragedy with a

Hello:
I, too, have just updated to OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
I can confirm this bug.
I just tried to pair my BlueTooth Apple keyboard and was told the
passcode was 12345678 by VoiceOver, whereas, a different passcode was
actually displayed on the screen.
Thanks!

So, if you often pair bluetooth keyboards to your Mac, I’d stay with 10.
I trust you reported it to:

I am a little bit confused… Not to be pedantic, but Mavericks is indeed a new
operating system. It is not an incremental update, such as going from 10.8.4 to
10.8.5; rather, it has a new major version number – 10.8 to 10.9. The fact that
it is free as a marketing choice. In the past, major updat

Will it install without user interaction? I downloaded it, went through all

Hello,
I’m not sure if the contacts app is in the dock by default but, you could try
checking in there. But either way, I don’t find opening your apps folder in
the finder to be all that time consuming.

Hi,
not sure if I am understanding what you are asking. If I wish to change an
address. I press command + spacebar to bring up spotlight. Then I type contacts
and there it is. Then you search for the entry you want and make the change.
Hope I got what you need.
Max.

Hi,
I think that rep is very mistaken. I mean, would you call IOS 7 just an
update? That’s free too. Tell you what though, if it is just an update, it’s
the largest update I’ve ever seen at over 5GB. haha.

Depends on what you do. If you like how VO reads messages in Mail, or you don’t
care about Maps or iBooks (neither of which is fully accessible, though iBooks
is usable and I haven’t played with Maps), or you don’t want app launches or
waking from sleep to take a long time, don’t update. The adv
I was worried that App Nap might not work well with VoiceOver in Mavericks. IN
particular, if the app with VO focus is visually in the background, it might be
subject to App Nap and not get the memory it needs. HOw does this seem to be
working?

Hi, folks. I have decided, because of all of the horrific things going on with
