Hi,
Thats not necessary. Instead of cut, its called move in OS X. Press Command C
to copy the file/folder to the clipboard. Now, instead of pressing command V
to paste, press command option V to move.

Hi, I teach Eyepal here in ontario and have a demo unit. It works great for
me although occasionally a page won't focus properly. That seems to happen
more on windows than on mac but I see one every so often.

Hello,
Yes, it does have a default rate. Which can be over ridden by using the -r
flag. However, I get the following error, when using the most basic form:

It certainly can, and I don't know why you'd be getting that error.
You might also try that command to run Applescript commands in the
terminal, I believe it's OSA. That way, you could pass that command
"tell VoiceOver to say "my text"" and VO should speak the text instead
of the default voice.

Hello Alex,
I'm confused, I asked about using the say command as I want to pass a text
document to be converted into an audio file. One simple command should do it
according to the say man page. I know nothing about Apple Script. That's for
the dark winter evenings.
Thanks.
Gena
Please Note:
Oh, text conversion is something different. What command are you
using, and what output device? For instance, I'm wondering if the
application is choking on the use of a bluetooth headset or some kind
of redirecting program like Audio Hijack or Soundflower.

Hello Gena,
Why not use the Add to iTunes as a Spoken Track command? It's by far the
simplest way to do it.

Hi Brandt,
Assuming you are using a kwarty bluetooth keyboard and not a braille keyboard,
this should at least get you started.

I think it will take most audio formats. I just wanted to show that you
could mix them. I do wonder if it has to decode mp3s to do the splice
and then re-encode them? If that is the case it might be better to use
the old mpgtx which is also available via port install.

Hello everyone. I have some Daisy books that I created with the Plextalk
recording software and want to read them on my IPhone. Is there a Daisy reader

How do I switch from one window to the next to jump from one file to another?

The window switching command is command-accent. This should cycle you

Another way to do it is to press VO-F2 twice in succession to open the window
chooser. Here you will have a vertical list of all currently open windows in
that application. Then just arrow through the list to the one you want and then
hit Return or VO-Space to focus that one.
