I've got a real simple but time consuming fix for those of you still
complaining about Lion issues after the 10.7.2 update.
The fix is called a reinstallation.

VO-shift-space is a simple mouse-click. VO-command-shift-space first performs a
mouse-down, that is, it begins the dragging operation. When you move to the

I'm actually going to end up doing something very similar myself. I'm going to
clone the drive first and I suspect pulling all my user data (not application

Easy. once the new install is complete, you just plug back in the USB drive on
which your old volume was made. Then, you just manually move over the stuff
you want to kepe from that volume. Now, since the new install will work much
better, completely erase the backup and do the hole thing ove

I would definitely take it in to the apple store if you have one near by. I
have just had my iPhone 4 replaced at no charge. I do not have Apple care
either. I had dropped my phone on concrete and the screen was completely
shattered. The Apple rep said that it would normally be $179 to replace
this happened to me on my macbook a few months back. I took it in to
have the keyboard repaired. Its over three years old. I expected to
have to pay for it or at least pay a minimum charge. Not only was it
free, they replaced the liaminent making the computer look like a
brand new unit
