If you wish to search for other users, press command+U and enter in their user
ID. Then you'll be pulling up their timeline and can see their tweets. You can
toggle to the drawer if you wish to see more information about them, follow,
DM, and all that good stuff.

Press CMD+U, and type the username and press enter. Then, focus on a tweet by
said user, interact with the drawler (if hidden, press CMD+D), and find the
user action menu button. Press that, and go down to following status submenu,
and select follow.

I use Twitterrific on my iPhone to do this. With Facebook and Twitter, I use
different apps, even different platforms, to accomplish different task. I
haven't found one app for Twitter or Facebook that seems to do everything I
would like it to do. It would be awesome if they made one. LOL
