Hi,
no, actually that should work - in some cases it does - but it's quite buggy.
Please send your complains to
accessibil...@apple.com.
That's the only way to bring Apple to fix issues.
All the best

Usually it does start you back at the top of each page. One thing you
could do, if you think you are going to return to a certain page, open
the link in a new window, then close that window to return to the
previous page.

Hi.
I am by no means proficient with VO, but I can't believe this about browsing
with Safari. Any page I browse, when I click a link and read a bit of that
page, when I return I am always placed at the top of the page and have to
remember how far down I was in order to spend time finding it to
a real obstacle in terms of seeing the Mac as

Hi Chris,
I think I'm going to try playing around with both. I'm getting more
comfortable with the web stuff, but I have a couple of sites that have
been giving me fits. So I think I'll try Anna's sughgestion of
playing around with dom and group mode, and see if that helps at all.

Hi Donna,
I think "Groups" mode is a more efficient way to navigate web pages
but, often, "Dom" is simpler. Coming over from Windows and JAWS,
though, one needs to take time to learn and practice with Groups mode
but I think the time is well worth it.

Hi Anna,
No, I haven't. I have been using groups mode, because people were
saying it made for easier navigation. I'll give DOM mode a try and
see if it improves things at all. Thanks for the suggestion.
Best,
Donna

Hi Donna,
Have you tried DOM as well as Group mode? IN situations where one
doesn't read something correctly, sometimes the other does.
Best,
Anna

Hi all,
This is still the thing I struggle most with on the Mac. Here's my
question. When navigating a webpage, I have no problem seeing all the
links. But I often don't seem to see other text on the page that is
not associated with a link label. Anyone know of a way to see this
other
Groups mode gives you a visual layout of the screen. Unlike DOM mode,
it keeps items where they are meant to be. So the middle of the page
is still the middle of the page. A sidebar is on the side. A
navigation bar at the top will still be at the top. And so on.
I much prefer Groups mode ov
Hi,
I have a question that I admit I may be able to figure out with some
time and experimentation, but maybe some of you already know. What
type of logic, interms of where things are located on a page, does
groups mode use to organize the page? Meaning does it take some sort
of inconsistent appr
