Yes, that's what was really driving me nuts. Again, really that is bad web
design. Just putting the mouse on something should not cause a page to change,
the link should not expand unless it's clicked, but, it is what it is. It
always worked fine before high sierra which is why I never figured i
Thanks for this. I recently turned off the visual representation of the
Voiceover curser and didn’t connect the dots to why links weren’t automatically
expanding on websites.
I’ve adjusted back and things are good now.
Thanks again.

That is exactly what I did recently while looking for a problem. I
exported settings first then deleted them. It was fast and easy and I
could always easily import the settings again.

Right, but in this case, since I wasn't sure what was causing it, I wanted to

when you're not sure what is causing the issue, start with a clean slate.

Good job, Mike. Perhaps it was a bug and was fixed in HS. There is
an easier way to set VO to defaults. Its on the VO Utility file menu.
You can also import and export VO settings there too.

Ok, I found the answer, I don't know if this is a bug or a design change, but
it's definitely different than in previous operating systems. Since no one else
could reproduce the issue, I decided to start with defaults, so I opened my
library folder, went to the preferences folder and deleted eve

ET what is your mouse settings on VO right now?
and mouse was set to ignore VO Cursor… So maybe the options are a bit messed

Actually I wish this did work in safari, some sites, when the mouse moves over
a link will expand the link and show you the other links within the menu,
granted, this is not very good web design, but many sites do it, I'm wondering
if I should delete my voiceover preferences and start witht eh d
Very interesting, unless I use the command to move the mouse to the voiceover
cursor, it just says apple is under the mouse, I wonder if it's related to
another setting, although it was never an issue before high sierra.

I am getting similar results to ET, The mouse does not seem to closely match
the specific word in Pages, but it certainly is not stuck on the Apple logo.
When in the Finder VO-F5 reports the previous application unless I put the
finder window in full screen mode. I thought that VO-tilde reported
Hi!
No things seems to work as expected with hi sierra here.

Yes I am running High Sierra. This did not act consistently in
Finder but I tried it in other areas including the menu and menu extras
and VO-f5 was spot on.

Are you using high sierra? If you have the mouse set to follow the voiceover
cursor and you navigate to something, then press vo+F5 to hear the item under
the mouse, does it indicate that the mouse is on the same item as the voiceover
cursor? For me, unless I specifically move the mouse to the v
