hello,filevault takes several hours to turn on or off. Just leave your computer
alone overnight and then adjst file vault as you want.

File Valt is what keeps your data encrypted so it can’t be easily stolen.
What you need to do is the following:
First, once in Users and Groups, click the button that allow’s changes. If you
don’t do this then nothing will work.
Next, interact with the Users, Groups and Login Options. It should sa
ok I think I know what is happening, but I cannot turn on automatic log in
because it tells me file vault is turned on. What is file vault?

This item is no longer a checkbox. It is a button that opens up a dialogue will
you can choose the accessibility options you would like to have enabled on the
Lock screen.

Hopefully me saying this will get the issue fixed but you will have to repeat
this process with every update.
