A microphone will fit this connector, but it doesn't provide any amplification,
it's line in level which won't be enough for voice communication. You have 2
choices, connect an amplifier, or get a USB headset microphone, they're not
that expensive and work quite well.

Is not the mic jack a line in jack though? Someone thatuses a mini could not se
there mic in tht jack forsome that reason.

the Mic input is the 3.5mm jack next to the headphone socket. There
are 2 identical holes. one is the headphones the other is the mic.

end to plug into the headset jac and the one is for pluging in to a microphone
