I only my 2 cents worth but the best Tweet apps I've seen for Iphone to date are Tweet - a free app - and Tweetlist - which you pay for -, both have Twitter down to an art. For Mac I like Syrinx and YoruFukurou, I won't say one is better than the other as both have strengths and weaknesses. O
