Ok, I'll take a stab at this. Try pressing command, control option and f8.
This shold start the VO tutorial, from there, hit escape and you should be good
to go. If that doesn't work, we'll try something else.

ok. hit ctrl option and turn 2 fingers clockwise on your trackpack to
turn it on. Once you have done this, double tap with three fingers on
the trackpad. this should unmute vo.

on mute and i am now attempting to turn it back on by using the fn key and
either f 10/11/12 keys in order to turn the speech back on but for some reason
or another it will just either adjust the leve
