I just thought I'd take a look at the View menu for my instance of Mail and
most of the options under Message Attributes are dimmed. I'm wondering when
these are really supposed to take effect. I tried this while I was sitting on

Actually, I just did it, and thanks for that. In my View menu, Columns submenu
is the first choice after you down-arrow to drop the menu down. Attachments is
the first choice once right-arrowing to enter the submenu.

Sorry, I can't find the attachments setting in the view menu in Mail so that I
can tell whether a message has an attachment.
I'm pressing vo m, right arrowing to view, and looking for columns in that
menu. It's not there.
