I found a setting in touch id and pass code where I could turn off the
requirement for it to unlock my phone. I don't need it for that. I just need it
for Apple Pay and stuff like that. I have my brightness at 0 and my screen

I can hear part of the message but if it's a long one the whole thing doesn't

Lorie,
Go to Settings > Touch ID and Pass Code. There, you’ll find something called
Require Pass Code After, which is supposed to give you options to tell the
phone how long before a passcode is required to do stuff. On my phone, which is
running iOS 13.7, the only option available for me is Im

Well, when you get a new phone, you can get one with face ID. Then when you
unlock it with your face, it'll work like your old one did without a passcode.
