It comes up not talking at all. It won't let me put in a password and/or my
user name.
If I hold down the power button and manually turn it off, and then turn it back
on, it will boot right up to the desktop.
Go figure.

Voice over does not work at all. It just sits on that screen and does nothing.
It always figures though, that when sightling is here, I can't get it to do
it so they can tell me what's on the screen.

I do hold the power button to turn it off, that's how I can get the desktop the
second time.
I shut it down with the regular shut down sequence via the apple menu to shut
it down when I am done with it.

I wonder if the power button is set to put the computer into sleep or stand-by,
rather than use\e turn it off and on again? When I press my power button, I
still have to choose whether to sleep or restart or shut off, unless I use the
