So, you know I suggested watching out for 4.3 vs 5.5.2? Well, I was looking at the IWOrk 09 version of Pages which is 4.3. There are a few neat applescript functions there. I did see that images have a description which is what VO will read in the latest Pages. > On Jan 12, 2015, at 15:37, A

I just had a look through the Pages scripting dictionary. Oddly, I didn't see anything about styles. Might it be called something odd that I'm not thinking of? > On Jan 12, 2015, at 3:24 PM, Jonathan C Cohn wrote: > > Alex, > > I tried to get paragraph style 1 of document 1 of pages > (make s

That used to be true, but it was fixed a while ago. Alert boxes now work as expected, to my knowledge. I don't use Pages enough to know what could do with some scripting, but if anyone identifies a case where a script might be faster, it's worth looking into. This is what scripting is for, after

Hmm, I have not played much with the applescript with dialogs and Yosemite, but I seem to remember somebody saying the dialog boxes don’t work right anymore. I suppose one could use commanders to execute the applescript or require keyboard maestro. I believe I could set up either VoiceOver appl

Let me ask this: is any of this doable with ApleScript? It seems like, with so many convoluted keystrokes and command sequences, scripting would be a huge help here. > On Jan 12, 2015, at 9:57 AM, Jonathan C Cohn wrote: > > I verified my pages version it was upgraded on January second, so was e

Hello Barry, Can you get to the menu next to the paragraph style using normal VO commands such as the one suggested by Jonathan? I have to bring the mouse and use the track pad to get there. It doesn’t bother me to do it this way, but a lot of people find it difficult. Cheers, Anne > On 12

Hello Jonathan, You must be running Mavericks rather than Yosemite as your copy of Pages is not the latest one. In your version, there is no problem getting to the menu, but this is broken in Yosemite where we are now up to version 5.5.2 (2120) of Pages. Cheers, Anne > On 12 Jan 2015, at 02:
