It is possible to set both description and name using AppleScript.
Not sure if that would be any help though
I could also get the file path of the photograph from AppleScript, so perhaps
we could figure out how to sent the photo to Microsoft's AI engine and then
read back the description. I ha
Oh, weird. That is very helpful, Grant. Thank you. I was meaning to look in
Photos on my phone but haven't had a chance yet. Thanks for the tip.

Hey Donna,
I have discovered that the "title" and "description" fields are not treated
consistently by VoiceOver across the Mac and iOS. In OS X, VoiceOver will
announce the description field as you navigate from photo to photo, ignoring
the name field. On the other hand, in iOS, the name field

Oh no, sorry. I don’t use these often but have you tried tagging the photo
file? I believe that’s under the same menu. My tagged photos and folders end up

Hi Tim,
Thanks for this. wow, kind of a messy process, I would have thought Apple

the photos themselves are packaged within the Photos Library, but I strongly
suggest that you do not change the file name as it can corrupt your Photos
Library database. What you are actually doing is changing the Description or
title of the photo which is done in the Info window for each

I just took a quick look to see if I could locate the file outside of photos,
and didn't have success.

type of renaming?
To rename any file, once you’ve figured out what it is of course, find the file
and go into the context menu with VO-=shift-m. Rename should be on the list of
possible actions.

Hi all,
A while back we had a discussion about renaming photos and videos. I can't
remember what the out come of that discussion was. I thought someone had come
up with a way to do this, but I've searched my sent-mail and my Mac folder and
can't find anything. Can anyone refresh me on how to
