Since OSX is just unix underneath you can do quite a bit via plain old
ssh. So if you ssh to another mac you could do
sudo softwareupdate -i -a
to install all the appropriate updates. Do a man on softwareupdate to
get details. Likewise you can just
reboot
with the appropriate privileges to

Sorry, I should have mentioned. I am totally blind and also use
braille. I'd like to interact with the GUI on the mac remotely, if
possible, so I'm afraid any remote access solution will need to be
accessible to a blind user. I know there are probably tons of such
solutions for sighted users.
