I can confirm tapping on the item yields the correct result in side the
measurement but the actual label does not read correctly.

level. According to the hint, this will view details of the battery.

I have the modular face set and in the bottom middle complication I have the
battery level set. This battery level reads correctly. If you flick up to the
control center and one I think it is to the right of connected by iPhone
there’s another batter
