I have the same issues :) i think growl is somewhat to blame too
but I'm sure that it's a problem of getting my head wrapped around it, or the
adium is messed up or growl is i suspect y adium beta is the culprit

Hi,
First, you have to select an event within the table you want to add something
to, such as "Message received", then hit add, then select what you want to
happen when you receive a message, etc.

Hi chantel no luck still with adium.
This is what i did.
I went to preferences then went to the tool bar and went to events.
Then i went to the table.
I seen a button where it said add it gave a bunch of choices.
One of them said speak event and speak text.
Is there a tutorial on adium?
I'm stuck
