Hi, one way is to open Text edit, that'll put it in your dock, then
navigate to the dock by using VO+D then yo

when text edit is running, it will show up in the dock as running. to
keep it there, go to your dock, find it and do VO shift m to bring up
the contextual menu.. in there you'll find keep in dock. click that
and text edit will always be in your dock.
