Hello, I am also seeing the issues with column view in the finder. A work around is to use VO plus left and right arrows instead of just the arrow keys. Also make sure you interact using VO plus shift plus down arrow. This is a bug that has been reported to apple. Greg Wocher > On Nov 14, 202

I will answer some of yours and ask one of mine. First, column view, you now have to VO Right and Left Arrow to get in and out of folders. The extra sound you are hearing I think is the image recognition which you will find options for in VO preferences. My issue. I use Siri to make phone calls.
