Well, you can look at and disable keyboard shortcuts i system settings keyboard
each row there has a checkbox to disable functions. The other thing you can do
is assign keyboard comanders.

control keeps coming up or the keyboard doesn’t let me jump in the way it used
to do.

I don’t use Amadeus Pro, so this is just a guess, but try using Fn + VO + Right
Arrow, to move from the top left of the window to the bottom right corner, and
use Fn + VO + Left Arrow to return to the top left corner of the window.
