The JUNK folder in Macintosh Mail is something that there should always be one
associated with each mail account that you subscribe to. Is the Junk folder
missing, or does it not contain what you expect?

Yesterday I had to delete my gmail account from mail and reconnect it again.
This was due to some gmail misbehavior. Everything was corrected when I
