If you do not see the track names, you need to go to your preferences in Itunes
and click on track name. If the tracks are on the Gracenet datebase, they will
be imported. If not, you will be notified that they are not on the datebase.

Yes, when you rip a CD, the file is converted to say an MP3 file. This willl
happen to each track until all the tracks have been converted. When you rip a
CD, you want to check this to be sure all the tracks have been converted
successfully.

Usually, the iTunes ripping CD process is very simple, you just put the CD in
and iTunes does the rest automatically. I don't think that you've done
anything wrong, it just wasn't recognizing your CD for some unknown reason.

When you put your cd into rip, hopefully vo said something like selection
replaced maybe twice!
Then you got the album track listing and you interacted with it!
As Itunes imports each track, it will change to converted, in that list!
