There are good reviews of the Atomic Web Browser on Apple Vis which has
manymore features than Safari including a download manager. I have installed
the app but have not investigated it yet.

There is yes, but they all use Safari as a backdoor because Apple does not
allow third party browsers to use their own engine. For example, Chrome uses
Webkit which Safari also uses. Same is true for Instabrowser.
