I'm not dead certain of this but this is what may be happening: I think Apple save Unix text files which means line end with just line feed. Other OSs save files whose lines end with carriage return and linefeed. If you want to bother, You might be able to search for carriage returns and remove

It's driving me nuts too and it shouldn't be necessary! I don't get those with brltty in terminal and I don't get them reading web braille books with the BARD app. I have pointed out the problem to accessibility but maybe I should do it again. It definitely detracts from using braille with voice
