In safari do command , to get to the preferences. Under general there is a pop
up where you can choose your search engine.

I have a follow-up question: can you add search engines? In iOS8, you will be
able to use Duck Duck Go, but I'd love to use that in Safari on Mac right now.
Is that possible? Currently all I have are Gogle, Yahoo, and Bing.
