I've only stumbled upon those elusive menu items in the status menu, like
Dropbox, etc. Sometimes it works when trackpad commander is off, and sometimes
when the mouse cursor is set to move the VO cursor. I haven't found a reliable
way to do it, but I think others have. I just move my finger aro
Hi Darcy and Teresa,
Wow. Life can be so simple sometimes. It worked right away. Thanks Darcy.
Teresa, would you mind explaining how you deal with invisible icons in the menu
bar? Still very interested.
Paul.

Hi everyone,
Would anyone mind talling me how growl works? I've been trying to get this app
to work for me for about a month now and have had no success.
I have drop box, yourofuku, set to give me notifications through growl and
nothing has happened…
Thanks a lot for any help,

Hi. You can disregard that last message about Growl not being in my
applications folder. I guess what happened was I installed 1.3 overtop of my
last installation. But still notifications aren't being spoken in Adium with
the Nuance voices automatically.

Hi. Growl isn't in my applications folder so I can't access the preferences
there. I do have the DMG file of an older version of growl however in my
downloads but I don't want to open it just in case it downgrades me to the last
version. Would re-downloading from the App Store place the app in t
Oh, doh. Of course. I was trying to make things more difficult than they needed

I think it was Ricardo Walker who came up with this trick, but I'm drawing a
blank myself. I'm reasonably sure you have to turn off trackpad commander with
VO-rotor-left (counterclockwise) once you're in the menu. Ricardo or anyone
else, can you help??? :)

Hi Teresa,
Thanks for your response. It looks like you have a work around. I tried having
my mouse follow the vo cursor, but I can't get to the growl preferences. I
would love to get my head around this, but I don't succeed. Could you please
describe how you get into the growl preferences on you
The Growl preferences are now in the menu bar near the clock. I can't seem to
get to them easily. Right now, I have my mouse cursor following the VO cursor
in VO preferences. I think I'm going to have the mouse move the VO cursor, and
that might help with navigating the menu bar better. I hope t
Dear listers,
I did a clean install of Lion, installed growl 1.3, and unlike in the previous
growl version, I can no longer find my preferences for growl. They used to be
in the system preferences, Has any of you got growl 1.3 running under a clean
lion install? I saw in the growl 1.3 welcome
