I use command-option-f to bring up a find and replace environment for TextEdit.

I thought I was pretty computer literate until I tried to do a global replace
in TextEdit. I can't even get the help to come up so I can read on it. I
selected all the text, went to the menu, and I thought it be under
substitutions. I couldn't get TextEdit to let me type
