Hi there,
My new Matias keyboard only has a six-pac, not a nine pack. When I help out my
friend, I'll check out his full sized keyboard to see if it has the function
key.

The full size keyboard I have *DOES* have an FN key; it is in the
upper left corner of the 'nine pack' of keys just above the 4 arrow
keys. The FN key is still needed to overide the default hardware uses
of some of the function keys like F1 thru F4. Now, you can go into
the system preferences und
Maybe I'm a little off base, but I don't think there is a FN key on a full size
keyboard. A full size keyboard, by definition, has function keys. There all on
the top row. In any case, the keyboard describer mode, VO K, should tell you
what everything is.

Hi Eric. Just to the left of the number pad is a pack of 9 keys. The FN key is
the second one up on the left.

My full sized Apple extended keyboard does not have an FN key. I replaced the
thin keyboard which came with my IMac as it was torture for my wrists. I
bought an old style IMac keyboard which was generally much better for me but as
I say does not have an FN key. Where people suggest it is on t
Top left I believe you mean? It's where insert is on a Windows keyboard.

Hi Erik,
I think that on a full size keyboard the Fn key is the top right key in the
six-pack of keys that includes the Home, Page Up, and Page Down buttons. That
is, if you start from the positiion of the "eject" key that is above the
"delete" in laptop keyboards and move right to the group o
That's where it is on a portable keyboard, but not on the full size. The
bottom row of the full size has duel alt, control, and option keys one set to
each side of the space bar.
The portable keyboard has fn, on the bottom left, then a full complement of
control, option, command. Then command
FM key is on the bottom left hand corner left of the control key.
