Is there any other way to do this on an iMac? If not it will be a Two person

In order to reset the SMC, shut down the computer and plug in the charger. Hold
these keys on the left side of the keyboard, shift, control and option then
press the power button. Release them all at the same time, then press the power
button to power up. Hopefully that will solve it.

used?

Already did that. I made sure to do it while the fan was going crazy. No
process was taking more than 30% of effort from the GPU. I know that when I
removed Fan control some time back, there was something I had to reset with
respect to the batttery. Any thoughts?

You can take a look at Activity Monitor and try to determine what might be
running that is consuming resources or causing your processor to work harder.
If it is not that, at least you are eliminating that possibility.

Okay, This is really weird. Ever since my OS reinstallation back a couple of
weeks ago, I noticed that every time I do anything with my Mac book Pro that's
