Ah, ok. Well, I can try it and see if the quality suffers. It’s just a audio book, not like it’s good music or something like that. It just bugs me to have my book in two huge huge sections rather then actual chapters which I can zip through one at a time. Too bad that Gold wave isn’t on the

Audacity will open the mp3 file and let you split it. I don't think it will ask you do convert to wav. Remember that exporting an mp3 to mp3 will, possibly, lower the quality a bit, so if your saved files don't sound the same, that's why. You've encoded the file twice, essentially. I don't know

Hi, Audacity will work for this. Unfortunately audacity and most other mid to high end tools will want you to convert to wave, then split, then save back to mp3 which is something you don't really want to be doing, especially if the quality is poor to begin with. I'm sorry I can't be more hel
