Hello Sarai, If you would prefer your apps to close all the windows when you quit them, go into System Preferences and select the General pane. Look for Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps and uncheck the check box. That will get rid of your problem once and for all. Cheers, Ann

You can close the text window before you quit the application, or, if you forget and it opens with that document again, just do a command-n to start a new document. You can also quit with option-command-q to clear all of the document windows as well. Take Care John Panarese jpanar...@gm
