I am using VO calendar because I find the it much easier to use than the one on
the i phone itself. However, it is attached directly to the native calendar.
All the events appear in the native calendar as if I had put

The other thing to check is whether you have multiple calendars set up.
Sometimes, when things are set up this way, you end up setting up alerts for a
calendar that is not the one you placed the events into.

Sounds silly but have you deleted the calender app in app switcher and all
other apps for that matter and restarted your phone? If all else fails delete
from me memory and restart iOS device in my opinion.

Hi Jean,
Are you receiving the notification but just no sound with it or are you not
receiving the alert at all? Have you set the default times in the Mail,
Contacts & Calendars section of the Settings app? In this area you can set
default reminder intervals for calendar events.
