I tend to agree, but casual users and newbies often get into trouble by
installing apps, plugins, and add-ons that, while not viruses, are deeply
annoying. Virus programs tend NOT to remove those, so your browser starts
offering ads, pop-up, and search results that verge on the abusive.

Its very accessible and can be found in the mac app store.
