I’ve noticed that Allex does breakup sometimes, but thought it was my machine.
I have a macbook pro 2009 with mavorics.

Ah, I see. True that I don’t really notice much speed increase on my windows
machine. I’m really trying to buckle down on the mac usage, because I kind of,
um, knocked my windows laptop off the desk, and the screen is now broken and I
dare not use it for much. Its very, breakable.

From what I've read ReadyBoost used a USB thumb drive or the like for
virtual memory swap. This didn't really work out as intended because USB
drives take a lot of CPU and have low throughput. So while you could
play around in terminal and make another swap space on an external
