I wish Abbyy would make a Mac version like the Windows one, but I also wish
that my BookEdge scanner had a Mac driver. Phil, I think you're lucky to have
found a scanner that works without the need for 2 apps. My husband has a Cannon
and another one that I can't remember, some kind of all in one
hey,
i have been using this app and yes the prefs are grayed out.
you can't do batch conversion of PDFs with the express version witch makes me
very mad.
i wish they would make a pro version for mac like the one on windows witch is

Just purchased fine reader express tonight for $49.99 (deal good until August
25). It works really well with my Epson Perfection V33/330 flatbed scanner. It
recognizes the scanner and I can scan documents from within the app, and don't
have to use ImageCapture or another app to create scans.

Thanks for the assistance Ray. I thought this option would work. Just wanted to

You will get wonderful results with Abby Fine reader Express for Mac. Very
accurate too: as many here will attest.

Hey guys,
Has anybody used Fine Reader Express. I'm thinking of pairing this with an
Epson all in one for scanning and OCR. Will I get the results I'm thinking. The
scanner comes with a base version of Fine Reader, but know it's not accessible
like Express. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Hi,
I'm using it with a brother dcp all in one with optional feeder scanner.
Works fine

Hello Angie,
ABBYY FineReader Express is completely accessible. However, it only seems to
work directly with a few scanners. I'm afraid I don't know which they are.
I use it with VueScan, as that seems to give me the best results.
Cheers,
Anne
