Hello,
I do not have either one. But from what I heard that Abbyy Fine reader Pro is
out, and it is much much more accessible, and you don’t need a third party app
on top of that. I heard that Express is not that accessible now.

I currently have VueScan 8.6.56 and ABBYY FineReader Express on Mavericks. and
Everything seems to work as it did on my Snow Leopard except the end product
results. Whether I select Text file or searchable PDF button, VoiceOver can’t
read the file. Does anyone know if it's my VueScan or ABBY
