It doesn't matter. I'm using a bluetooth keyboard with my Macbook pro and it
worked just fine. I would assume any keyboard attached to your Mac wired or
wirelessly will work.

It shouldn't matter. I imagine that any keyboard attached to the mac will be
"forwarded", if you will, to the iOS device. I use a non-Apple USB keyboard
with no problems...
