Okay,
I've finally worked out how to set my time zone. At least, I've got the time
zone correct. Now, I just have to work out what part of the closest city's
name to click on to get back to Houma Louisiana. When I first went in to the
time zone closest city combo box, I know
IN the process of exploring my clock settings, I accidently switch my time zone
to West then Centeral Africa, and now, I can't put it back. Is there any VO
key sequence that I can use to manipulate the world map so I can reset my time
zone correctly? I think I've tried pretty much
The easiest way to do this is to check the box that will set the time
zone based on your location. The mac will then set the time zone based
on the registration info you entered.

Hi,
Start typing your city or a large city in your time zone.
It took me 3 hours before I figured that out and i did it by mistake.
IE mine was set to Pacific time when I bought it and i typed in New York
and sure enough my mini was set to eastern time.

Hell friends:
I cannot seem to set my time zone correctly on my Mac Mini. The Mac thinks I'm
in the Eastern time zone, but I am in Central time. I see a pop up button for
Eastern time, but I see no way to change it. I also see this world map, but I
cannot see a way to select a city.
to reiterate, any city in your time zone will work. I just

name of the city. I must be missing a step.

Just to reiterate, any city in your time zone will work. I just
verified this by typing in New York City to switch to EST and then
switching back to my beloved LA LA Land!and it switched
back to PST immediately.
Best of luck!…

I did try that, but because the wrong time zone is selected, when I
type in my city, it doesn't come up. What a trivial but annoying
quirk this is.

Hey Eliza,
I had to get my son to change the time zone as I couldn't
find a way with VO to change it so if you have one of those kind
sighted animals get them to fix it up for you unless someone has a
way that I couldn't find to change it.

Ok, I give up. I keep returning to the clock menu to try to change my
time zone, and I keep failing to figure out how. It seems to be an
image of the world that VO can't deal with, so I'm stumped as to how
to find my time zone. What setting am I missing?
