I haven’t found the M1 MBP to have a lesser quality sound. Now, it’s been
quite a while since I started using this M1, so it’s possible I’m just not
remembering the difference, but I don’t recall it standing out when I switched
over.

I would also go with the newer Macbook Pro as they sound awesome in almost
every way including the new speaker systems with a better base driver and
spacial audio support.
