I found the contact list table, but only my Address book contacts are present.

Now when you sign in, look for the contacts table with VO and the arrow keys
and interact with it. The test cal account must be there somewhere.

Go to your table of contacts, interact until you find Skype Test call. Stop
interacting, then press shift control M and go down with your arrow and call
should be the first option. Hope that's OK.

to find the correct site by googling old Mac aps. I followed your instructions,
and even after the update, Skype is working beautifully. Now, if I can only
figure out how to make a test call...

What I did was.
I got the earlier version of Skype for september 2009. You can get that at.

First, Uninstall Skype completely. Move the Skype application to the trash,
delete the Skype folder from your /home/library and the relevant Skype entry
from the prefferences.

What version of Skype did you install? I have been having trouble with the most
recent version. It is the first version of Skype I have installed on my Mac, as
I haven't had it for very long. I'm wondering if following your example will
yield better results.

have you poked around inside the growl configuration frame for Skype? you can
add a growl notification for initial contact (message). then enable it. you'll
find that chats are suddenly readable without you having to screen review them
every time.

I managed to get Skype working perfectly.
I did uninstall Skype completely, installed an earlier version, connected to
server, and then updated Skype from there. All was fine.
I also installed growl, and, for the most part, it works ok.
I love my mac.
